Day2 blog: How will you develop this new habit? (Daily vitamins)

I have a nifty little day of the week compartment pill box like folks who regularly take lots of med use to help them remember to take them every day. I've had this nifty box for years and have used it with success before. It sits on top of the microwave gathering dust and is quite dingy and unappealing looking. So, I think I need a new box! Will shop for one today.
Then, I just need to fill it up every week and check it every day and take the darn pills. That's not much, eh?
I recently had a physical and will get all of my lab results later this week. From that, I'll ask the doctor what vitamins I really need to make sure I'm not missing anything or more importantly, taking anything I don't need.
That's the plan!

    Love those little boxes!!!! I have two of them and I lent one to my hubby when he had a blood clot back in 2012 and found them quite helpful for his blood thinning meds. He is okay now, and does not require meds anymore so I can claim them back, right. I am so silly, I just had a checkup on January and that's when I found out that my cholesterol was on the higher end, but I never thought to ask what kind of supplements I should be taking. I actually tracked my food for a few weeks on Spark and then bought supplements that would help me in the areas I was lacking. Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium and a regular Multivitamin. And my beloved Cranberry pill, without them I am a sad individual :)

    I have one of those dusty boxes! I think I need to dig it out and use it. This morning I couldn't remember whether or not I had taken a pill. I took one (a double dose won't hurt this once) but would rather be aware of whether I've had one or two!

    I have one of those little boxes. I always fill it and forget it. Another friend of mine has got me going on her "water bomb" Every morning she posts in big letters as her status on FB :WATER BOMB: go drink 8 oz of water to start your day off with good hydration.then come back and like this status. I have been doing it with her for a month now. I get up get my glass of water and drink it while taking my pills now. I love her water bombs they show up during the day at different times.

    Good to be analyzing things once in a while. Perhaps you won't need to fill it up with anything. A balance of good nutrition usually gives you everything you would get in a vitamin pill but good to know if you are deficient in something.

    I have to agree on this important habit. I always believed you shoudl be able to get all your nutrients from the foods you eat, especially if you are eating healthy foods to begin with.

    After seeing a nutritionist, I have a vitamin/homeopath regimin and have been trribly relaxed in taking them. I get so busy troughout the day and they are taken at different times. Some with meals.

    I use a little tupperware container, just the size for dressing and pack it with my breakfast and lunch. This way they are always on me and easier to remember to take them.

    Vitamins are important but you are right.....we should only be taking what is necessary.if we are eating properly we might not need some of those pills. Congrats for paying attention. And a new pill box sounds like a good idea!!!!
