Two Binges Of Different Colors

Friday, March 01, 2013

As of last night, my house is again a Girl Scout cookie free zone! The last half of the last box (Thin Mints) are GONE! And logged! So for this year...the GS cookie binge is over. emoticon Now to get back to my normal eating ways.

With that binge behind me..it's on to a new one! This one is far less calories (none in fact!). Yesterday was payday for me. So today I went on a book buying binge (for my Kindle app). I bought 8 books. Three are straight Sci-Fi, and 5 (they are a series) that are Sci-Fi/Semi Trashy. Kind of like bodice rippers in space. Only the Sci-Fi parts are really good and the trashy parts are easy to skip over. Hmmm...does that make me to old to enjoy the trashy parts? emoticon Anyway...I read them while working out and listening to music on my tablet. It works for me...the time flies by. In fact the one I started today was so good (one of the trashy ones emoticon) I didn't notice the time passing and ended up with 65 mins of workout time! emoticon Anyway...if anyone wants to know what the book is, it's Abducting Abby (Dragon Lords of Valdier: Book 1) by S.E. Smith. Amazon is great place to self publish! I'll have to add them to my Shelfari. emoticon

Hubby isn't feeling good today. He's been on some pain meds for his shoulder and in the last few days been having some dizzy spells. I'm thinking it's from the pain meds. He was going to run some errands today but I told him driving probably wasn't the best idea if he's still feeling dizzy. Anything he needs to do today, we can do tomorrow. emoticon

I've been taking the freeway home from work this week. It only shortens my drive about 5 mins or so...but increases my MPG. So I can go an extra day or so on a tank of gas. I didn't like driving them in my old Mustang, the pavement is grooved and my old car always felt like it was getting "loose". My new Mustang has traction control, so it handles the grooved pavement better. This morning I took the freeway to work too. That worked out great also. I'll be doing that more often now. emoticon

Eating so far is good...I did my workout (see above). And you what? It's TGIF!!!!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

So everyone..have a great and awesome weekend!
