February Progress, March Program

I did well at sticking to my program throughout February. As you all know, I've been keeping up with my 5k training and I feel great! A week from tomorrow I will be running a 5k! I also kept with my abdominal work until the last week, when it just got to be too much and I cut down on it. I have definitely improved, but I am happy to be done with this. I didn't see any improvement (different from being able to do more improvement), so I'm going to find new ab exercises to do.
I unfortunately did not work out everyday. There was one Sunday were I didn't get to walk as much as I thought. But I got back to my routine the next day, and now we get to try March! Overall, I think I did pretty well. I thought my reward for the month was going to be yoga videos, but I've decided on books instead. Yay books!
For March, there will be more running and 5k training. I will be doing something similar to what I did for my abdominals, only this month I will focus on my legs. 2-3 times I week, I will do ab work to keep up what I built in February. I will also be doing yoga every day. I found a 21 day challenge ( www.yogajournal.com/21da
) that I plan to continue and when I finish, move on to the intermediate challenge. I have really enjoyed getting into yoga and being exposed to the different ways to use yoga. I had a really rough morning and today's sequence totally chilled me out. Lovely. Then I went for my run. It was hard while doing it, but now I feel awesome.
My big challenge for March? Spring break. Going home always puts my schedule out of whack and it can be really hard to get a work out in.
