A new month!

Friday, March 01, 2013

I didn't lose any weight this week and so my total pounds lost this year remains at 10. 6 in January and 4 in February. My losing goal will remain 6 pounds a month. I'm not worried about not reaching it this time because it was a short month and I've been doing strength training more so I am building muscle. I measured today too and I lost over an inch on my waist this month. Whooooa! So happy about that! I also know today's weigh in wasn't exactly accurate because I wasn't able to use the bathroom before weighing in, and I also have some bloat going on. Like I cannot remove my ring from my finger kinda bloat. Yuck! Yesterday was a higher sodium day for me so today I am gunna guzzle lemon water. I will weigh in again on Sunday just to see if the scale changes like I think it will. Not gunna stress about it though, just curious if it does.

Oh, I got my running shoes in the mail and gave them a try but they hurt my foot like mad. I was dissapointed but I am going to take them back to the store this weekend and hopefully find another pair. Maybe I will get cross trainers instead of running shoes, I dunno. I've never enjoyed shoe shopping. I have wide feet so it is difficult to find a good pair. I'm just glad they offer more wide width options nowadays! When I was a child my mom had to take me to Stride-Rite to have them specially measure my feet and order shoes. Haha. Ah well.

Anywaysssssss.... March is going to be an awesome month! Springtime, longer daylight hours, warmer days (hopefully!), and Easter! I can't wait to lose 6 pounds this month. In fact, I'm gunna go get started now. Workout time!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. =)

Thanks all for the comments. =) I drank lots of water and am feeling better now. My ring can come off again! Mwahaha.

I know that I will need to break my shoes in, but unfortunately the pair I got would've given me a blister very quickly. The skin below my big and pinky toes was already pink and getting raw after I wore the shoes around the house for twenty minutes and I tried to walk on the treadmill for five minutes and was in pain. The shoes really just aren't compatable with my feet. I am returning them tomorrow and will check out the Reeboks and ASICS ones. =) There was also another pair of New Balance shoes I was eying up, but they are cross trainers and not running shoes. We'll see what feels good on my feet. I hope I can find a good pair!

Don't forget that you must break in shoes for them to work well, especially workout shoes. You can't just put them on and go for a run. You must walk around with them for an increasing length of time each day to break them in. Then start wearing them to work out for longer amounts of time. Along that time, not only will the shoe conform to your feet, but your feet will conform to the shoes and you'll get used to them.

Love it! Shoes are not what I love shopping for either!

I understand the issue with sodium - bloating - when ever I eat out this is my next days results.
I hope you find the perfect pair of shoes so you can walk into health.

I have a pair of RealFlex Transitions by Reebok and I love them for things like Yoga and Zumba. I also have a pair of ASICS that I love. While the ASICS provide more stability the feather lite weight of the Reebok RealFlex series is amazing.

Good luck! Shoe and bra shopping are neither one at the top of list. You can do it!
