February Reflection; March Goals

February didn't end too bad. My weight is holding steady where it is which isn't good, but it is 4 lbs less from where it was holding steady before. My steps are regularly above 10,000 now. I have added healthy supplements to my diet and am making better choices. There was a lot of stress in February, but my blood pressure is still in the normal range. Wohoo! Not moving on to blood pressure meds :)

My goals for March are really rather simple. I want to keep working out at least 45 minutes 5/7 days a week. I generally do more than that, but with my back this week, it wasn't easy. Get to JC at least 1 x per week. Vary my workouts. I just ordered two new Wii Workouts from Amazon so that will be something different. Keep working on de-stressing. For me, it is kind of hard because I really have no one to talk to. If I try to talk to my teaching friends about the real estate business, they are like, "well, you chose to leave teaching." I guess I will be hearing that the rest of my life.

On a very positive note, I have lost 1.5 inches off my waist.

My biggest goal is to try to STAY POSITIVE!

    Congrats on the 1.5 inch loss. That has to feel pretty good. I hope your teaching friends mean well. I know it's hard to stay in touch after someone leaves the district. A good friend of mine is now working in a neighboring district and when several of us got together for dinner one night I really felt like she was left out of the conversation. It would be good if you could find some people to spend time with that didn't know you first as a teacher. Easier said than done, I know.

    emoticon on maintaining your weight and losing some inches. I hope you enjoy your new DVD"s. Hopefully with the weather getting warmer we will all spend more time outside and I believe that relieves stress in its own way. Good luck on your journey to health of mind, body and soul.

    Sounds like you have some great goals. I think it is very important to have a support group of friends, whether on line or other. I find that it helps with the stress and it is best to talk with those who accept where you are. You need to make choices that are right for you and not your friends. I like the horse picture!
