New Life

Greetings all! I've been a little off the radar recently, my last post involved me mentioning a new job and a move to the countryside :)

I hope everyone is well and all is good in life...

pleased to say all is going good with my move, the place is brilliant, very scenic, and I cant wait for the weather to be better! The people are nice, outdoorsy types and geeks combined which is excellent! Plus some of the guys are dieting, and when we all go to the pub they have lime and soda (sparkling water) instead of beer, so I don't feel weird not drinking

Havent been tracking my food, not been eating particularly well, but everyone that joined with me is having the same problem. The hours are random . for example here is my shift for this week

wed 12-10pm
thurs 7am-3pm
wed 7am-11am 5pm-10pm
thurs same
fri 7-3

working breakfast split ends in there being no logical time to eat breakfast or dinner and ive been eating 4 meals a day, one before and one after each split shift. On thinking about his I've decided to run with this, but make sure they are smaller meals that take up as many calories as the three normal meals and this should hopefully work.

The other issue is that at the moment its also hard to predict if you're going to be in the kitchen (not burning many calories) or cleaning (lots of calories!) and I went for an hour run yesterday before my shift and have been in pain because most of my work since has been cleaning lol!
as a side to this, the run itself was amazing, all off road through fields following a river between two villages really pretty :) I don't know how far I went or accurately how long it took because it felt like I would be spoiling the magic of it if I measured it like that rather than in enjoyment. ^^
Things are settling down though, I'll be able to look at the rota and see what im most likely going to be doing soon enough and the benefits to my happiness far outweigh the costs. Im starting to be set here enough to start calorie counting again and losing weight.

Oh I've also picked up Game of Thrones again, im on book 4 now, is anyone else reading the series? If not you SHOULD BE!! its not like reading a story its like temporarily living in a different world!!

    Glad to see you are doing well. All of my friends have read the Game of Thrones books and I own them though taking time to read and not study for class or work out has been a bit harder but I know I need to read them, especially since it is going to be a bit before I can watch the next season and am really curious what is going to happen.
