Lenten Journey

Thursday, February 28, 2013

Lent: time to share, reflect and make some steps to make a difference in the world. What am I giving up, and what am I taking up to make this journey meaningful?

I am giving up... giving up! All too often the day just gets too hard, too busy, too tiring, too whatever for me to take time out to look after myself. So I am giving up lack of balance in order to take up a better way of being.

What am I taking up? I want to walk to Jerusalem... metaphorically. 137 miles from Mt Hemron to Jerusalem; from the glorious mountain top to the valley of tears. In the forty days of lent that means an average of 12, 000 steps per day. I did the math. Now I have to do the walk as well as the talk...

So far I am days behind schedule. So I need some help to see the goal through. If you think you would like to try walking to JERUSALEM too, then friend me and let's make it happen together..
