I will complete my 20 yoga practices for February with my am practice tomorrow. Woo Hoo.
Here' what my orthopedic surgeon said at today's visit . First, background info .... ten years ago I broke my right leg, breaking both bones in the lower leg near the ankle in multiple places. Took 2 plates and 13 screws to put it back together. Was told eventually the distance between the leg bones and ankle would close, I would be in pain and have to have the ankle fused. According to my x-rays today, I should be hobbling around and a prime candidate for ankle fusion surgery. Instead, Dr. Sullivan said that keeping active and flexible, I was doing myself a great service. He said to continue with the yoga that is giving me such great results. "Let your ankle tell you what you can and can't do. You obviously are doing the right things and know how to listen to your body."
