Do any of you use the FitBit One?

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

OK. I saw it so much on SP that I finally clicked on the link to see what it was all about. If SP loves it so much, I could at least read up on it.

If it does nearly as much as it claims - and SP seems to believe that it does - it is well worth investing in.

I ordered it yesterday evening & I'm getting excited about it. FitBit exchanges information with SP so you don't have to enter it in two places.

SP has a team for FitBit users that I checked out as well & ended up joining. I'll learn more about the FitBit if nothing else. I'll let you all know later if I love it as much as SP does.

I just bought the Fitbit Zip -- it doesn't do as many things, but it does a good job of what I require.

I'm sure you'll love it once you get it set up. I had a bit of problem with setting mine up but now that it's done it has given me no problems.

Like the others, I LOVE it. I read some of the reviews online, and it gets top billing too. It keeps me motivated to make 10,000 steps and I like that you can sync with SP. I find that if I get home and have not made my steps, I walk around until I do. :)
I think you will love it.

HAve one and love it. Thinking about upgrading to the wrist band one since mine seems to want to come out of its wrist pouch while I am sleeping - thereby giving me 98% sleep efficiency (by default). I would like a more accurate accounting and have thought about just velcro-ing the pouch shut (cheaper alternative). If you record your food on SP, it also sync's back to fitbit and you can view it on their website also. I am totally hooked on it and it is just part of my clothing everyday, I don't even really think about it.
    Hope you get yours soon!

I absolutely LOVE my Fitbit One. I wear it pretty much all the time and it challenges me to make my step goal each day. I also like watching my friends leaderboard and try to keep up with and surpass certain people in friendly competition. I don't always manage it, but it's fun to try! I've had no problems with syncing it to my computer and sparkpeople. emoticon

i have a "fitbit", also! I LOVE IT! mine is the "ultra", i think. it also records sleep, which is just one of many reasons i bought it. i don't sleep much and i wanted to see how much sleep i am getting, this was a big help. granted, it records according to your movement, but you can put it on normal or sensitive setting. also, i check it during the day to see how many steps and flights of stairs i have climbed. really puts it into perspective of how active i really am. makes me do more activity just to get me to my 10,000 steps a day goal.

it is great that it syncs into sparks (another plus for me). there are others (pedometer/activity/sleep, ect) out there, but with some of them there is a monthly fee. fitbit is free (after the initial buying), it gives you weekly results of how you did during the week. i really enjoy mine, and often have recommended them to friends.

works for me, hope you like yours!

emoticon to our little community! If you love your FitBit half as much as I do, you will be happy with your purchase. I keep watching the numbers go up and up...more steps, more time active, etc. I never thought it would be so motivating, but for me, it is. I guess I have a little competitive streak I never knew about!

I have FitbBit friends who are at different levels, but the ones that help me the most are the ones that are just below and just above my step counts. Once you join the Fitbit sparkpeople team, you will see yourself on the leaderboard (Fitbit site)...under groups, bottom right. Click on the group and it will show you your rank. Click "view complete leaderboard" and you will see folks that are near to where your step counts are. I found one of my most motivating FB friends that way. She consistently does about 1000-1500 more steps a day than I do. When I pass her from time to time, I am thrilled.

It's not all about competition. It's about getting fit and having fun. I hope you enjoy your new fitness toy!

    Happy trails! emoticon
