Little things, and other ramblings

Every thing I read keeps telling me that it's the little things that add up to success. Be it in weight loss, changing habits, or anything else you set your mind to.
And I realized, that maybe the "little things" are what is keeping me from losing weight as quickly. 1. I'll take a BITE of cookie or other sweet when I need something sweet, it's not much by itself, but it adds up over time, especially if I am not near my computer and forget to put it in my nutrition tracker. 2. I work on the fourth floor, and I hate getting to work winded, so I stopped parking so far away. And that went downhill to taking the elevator, okay, this originally happened because I hurt my ankle, but I'm not hurt anymore, and that needs to stop. That's all I can think of now, but I was thinking about it on my way to work (it's a fairly stationary job...).

So now I need to put the little things to work FOR me, not against. 1. If I can't get to sparkpeople nutrition tracker, I'll not take a bite (or I'll reach for an apple which are now sitting in my fridge, or a piece of sugarless gum). 2. I'm going to gradually park further away from work. Further, unless there is something wrong (ie: I'm sick) I will take the stairs at work. Hey for the average 150 lb person that's 5 calories per flight of stairs.

I can't decide if I love the rain or hate it. At night, it's one of the most awesome things in the world. I love falling asleep to the sound of rain. Also, poor south GA has been in a "drought" for the last several years so it's good for us. But during the day...I hate walking in the rain, balancing purse, umbrella and lunch box. Also, the sound of rain makes me sleepy and the overcast sky makes me gloomy, I know I'm not the only one.

On another note, the homework that my brother in law helped me figure out got a 5 out of 5. If we had been unable to fix that problem, it would have only gotten a 4 out of 5, so I'm quite pleased.

I'll be going to Miami with my husband. We're going to see the fertility specialist, and we're going to make a mini-vacation out of it. So I'm already planning.
