I have a zoo!!!

Had a great weekend. Hosted my daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday party Saturday. We had nearly 30 people at our house. But we had a blast. When all was said and done we had 10 large pizzas left over as well as pasta salad, green salad, macaroni salad and garlic bread. We took off on an adventure to downtown Pensacola and distributed to the local regular homeless there.

We then babysat two foster puppies that were going to a pet adoption Sunday. One of which I had a serious crush on. He and his sister were so much fun. It was sad to see them have to leave early in the morning to find their furrever homes. After church we decided to take a drive into Pensacola (again) to see how the adoptions were coming along.

Well, I can't recall how well they did or how many babies found new homes but I did bring mine home with me. What was I thinking? I needed another pet like I needed a hole in my head. I don't have time for another pet. I don't have time for anything anymore. And I especially don't have time to potty train. But he is so sweet. And I fell in love.

As it is now our house is home to 5 dogs, a turtle and a rabbit. In August my oldest will be coming and staying until her husband finishes training in December. They have 2 dogs.

Did I say we have a zoo?

Here are a few pics of my newest addition. His name is Will.

    Will is adorable!!
That is awesome that you are adopting babies when you can. I wish more people would, and take care of them nicely.

Sounds like my sister's house. They have all kinds of critters -- cats, dogs, turtles, birds, hamsters, to name a few. emoticon

Good for you taking the leftovers to the homeless shelter!! They need the food a lot more than some of us do (I'm speaking for myself here). emoticon

    What a cute puppy!
I live in the country and have had so many animals dropped off at our house that I can't count.
We always find homes for them. What are people thinking?
I think if you have an animal they are part of your family and you don't just ditch them somewhere if you get tired of them.
Have a good day and enjoy your new puppy!

Sounds like your weekend was busy! Glad you enjoyed it. I only have one day off from work at a time so it sounds exhausting to me, lol. I grew up with a zoo, so your blog title made me laugh. I'm grateful to have only one cat to take care of now (besides the family, that is!) Your new addition is a cutie... have a great week! emoticon
