Beginning of week 3

Ok Folks. Here it is.
I got into the aforementioned challenge and survived the first 2 weeks, there are 12 in all. I am learning so much about food, and lifting weights and making my body work in ways it isn't used to.
I weighed in at 2 weeks and had lost 4.5 pounds, but gained absolutely NO LEAN MUSCLE MASS. I was so disappointed. But I didn't quit. I had a few passive aggressive meals that will not help my next weigh in, but I am still smoke free/caffeine filled sugared soda free/bread free, and I am still in this contest.
I have only missed 1 workout, so this morning will be my 8th workout at the gym (we work out 4 times a week there). I did do hip hop abs at home yesterday. I was feeling down and needed an endorphin boost.
Also, a great Facebook friend of mine had this great idea. I am being really horrible about sabotaging myself by comparing my results and performance with others in the contest. I cannot seem to logically get my brain to think that I have my own issues and own struggles, and everyone is different (which is silly, since I tell my kids this almost daily). My friend decided that I should take beads and put them in something very small, 1 for each workout that is at least 30 minutes. I decided to start in a bottle cap, and will continue to upgrade the container as I fill them. It is working already, that is part of the way that I convinced myself to do hip hop abs yesterday. It is great to see something fill up, since I can't see my body changing quick enough for me. LOL
SO, wish me luck that I can keep this up for 10 more weeks. Thank you all for all of the support. I really appreciate it.
