What is Cooking? Part 1

Sunday, February 24, 2013

Well... I like cooking and sharing my recipes with my friends and family... and, most of the time, it brings happiness to my little life!

I am not a chef - I am an amateur.
I like trying things... and tracking.
I enter my recipe on Spark so I can track ...
I take pictures of my food so my daughter can do it too... and she is...
The pictures I post on my recipe shared on sparkrecipe are from my kitchen.... so it is the result I got from making the recipe!

Some of you might try my recipe that was posted on the Spark Daily Blog , my bread pudding with blueberries and rye bread recipes.sparkpeople.com/
... and I hope you like it... and I am sorry if you don't... I write this because I got a bad comment...

Anyway, my daughter who currently lives with her dad, is sending me pictures of the desert she is making - following my recipes ! And they are loving it...

She made the Blueberry Square Pie...

In the process
My result!

One that we both really like is my Zucchinis-Blueberries-Chocolat
e Bread... Actually Emma baked the loaf that you see on the picture... And it tasted as good as it looks, I can tell because she wrapped one piece and gave it to me (via her sister) when we landed in Canada after our last trip!

Personally, my favorite recipe for blueberries is my beet and blueberry salad.

Anyway - I have to say that what makes me happy is when I received these pictures :
Emma and her brownies... and yesterday morning, she shared with me her breakfast!
So this morning I made a smoothie too (banana, cantaloupe, vanilla yogurt and chocolate milk) !

And I made a warm avocado spinach salad for lunch - I think I am making progress with my healthy habits - (or let's say I am back on track!)...

... Part 2 will be a recap of my cooking class is Mexico!!! (see my new profile picture!)
