Goals For the Week

Here they are. Writing them down so next Sunday I can refer back to them and see how I did.

1. Weight: I'd like to lose 1 lb this week. I weighed in at 131.8 this morning (down a full lb from yesterday?) so I'd like to see 130.8 next Sunday. Part of this goal is to STAY OFF THE SCALE until then! I have been finding daily weigh ins are making me lose focus and motivation whether I have gained or lost.

2. Food: Eat loose Paleo all week. What I mean by that is no breads or rice or pasta or stuff like that. Fruits, veggies, and lean meats only. But.... I am not going to be so strict that I make my own salad dressing or mayonnaise. Also, the big food goal is NO BINGING! Remind myself of my triggers and take active steps to avoid them.

3. Exercise: 8 mile long run on the weekend, a 3 mile run on Tues and Thurs morning. CrossFit Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat. Yoga on Wed and Sat. This has not been a problem for me lately. Been lovin' my exercise!

4. Stop being so hard on myself. Be proud of the fact that I have maintained +/- 7 lbs in the last 4 months. Looking back at my past history this is a big accomplishment and something to be proud of!

    I've done a lot of paleo experimenting lately even tho I don't think I'd ever completely go paleo . . . if you have a kindle there are a lot of good, free cookbooks. My biggest problem is that I eat mostly vegetarian!

    But I can see the difference in my body when I eat less carbs.

    Remember, you're really close to your goal so even 1 lb is a lot!

    You can do this! Setting weekly goals is a great idea and a great point of reference. I have been a little hit or miss with my food lately (though mostly a hit, thank the Lord). Binge eating is also one of my habits that has been hard to break, so I can really relate to your struggles. You are strong and inspiring, though, and you have a plan. You got this!
