Dancing away the weight...

Current weight: 149.0 lbs

Last night I went for a salsa dancing lesson and open dance night at a local restaurant. It was fun but I find salsa more challenging than swing dancing -- it's a lot harder to pick up the "cues" from the lead. Of course, one of the major appeals of salsa dancing in Arizona is that there is always a big turnout. There must have been at least 50 people dancing on the floor :)

If I've learned anything with my re-acquaintance with dance, it's that I am a boredom eater. The more I have planned in my social calendar, the less I eat and vice versa! If I can look forward to an activity such as dancing, badminton, karaoke, etc., then I don't find myself overeating as much, since I am eating to live opposed living to eat.

I'm low on groceries today so I haven't yet planned out my meals for the day. I'll probably just use the same template I have over the last few days -- lower carb, higher protein, lots of veggies.
