Ruby-lite of the week.

Thanks to my Ruby team members for leaving me comments and goodies. It was such a nice surprise to be named Ruby-Lite of the week and it means a lot to me. =)

Sooo, I weighed in a day early and I am at ten pounds lost so far this year! Four to go until I am back at my lowest weight. I am soooo not going to allow myself to pack on holiday pounds this year. Lol. I know it seems way early to think about it, but I didn't realize that it would be so tough to get the weight back off. When I was stuffing my face between Halloween and New Years I kept telling myself that the higher number on the scale was just bloat, etc. I don't know why I was lying to myself because I didn't even believe it. I guess I just wanted an excuse to eat eat eat all those goodies. Uuuugh. I'm not going to do that again!

It's so nice to see the scale closer to what it was before I got so off track. The lower I get into the 200s I just get so excited. I've come so far and know I can keep going until I reach all my goals. =) I've been thinking ever since last Friday when I did 5k that I should try to do that at least once a week once I get my new shoes. 5k Fridays is what I will call it. lol. Can't wait until I can start that.

    You do have plenty of time before the holidays, so now's a good time to ask yourself questions such as: What will I do to prevent overeating this year? How will I keep true to myself that the higher numbers are real and not downplay the gain? What can I do to change how I react to the holiday overabundance of food?

    Put a plan in order now and put it to use before it becomes crunch time. Soon you'll find that the holidays have snuck up on you and if you haven't prepared for them, you may find yourself repeating old habits.
