Trying to be motivated and positive...

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I have been trying not to be so mad at God. From an earlier post, I mentioned the ex and his issues with me staying at his parents house (which doesn't give me a lot of options for places to stay with my kids)....

I'm working 2 jobs.....which doesn't give me a lot of time to see my kids and/or stick to a fitness regimen.

How the heck do I not focus on the negative, find time to see my kids, and stay on track with SP???

I am so sorry to hear of your continued struggles. Trials are never easy and the devil knows he can get to you when you are down. Don't let him get that control. To quote a song, which is one that I remind myself of constantly..."Each victory will help you some other to win". Try to think of some good things going on in your life right now and dwell on those. It looks like you have found a few supportive people here on sp, Surround yourself with that support, if you can. Don't overwhelm yourself with trying to change all that you want at one time. Maybe start with just finding the time to exercise just 10 minutes a day. Exercise can be a great stress reliever, which will help you feel better about things. Do this for you and just for you. You are worth it! I will keep you in my prayers. By the way, do you have a good church home?

I know, it is sometimes hard to stay positive. I guess we can only take it one day at a time. I hope your ex comes to some kind of terms with what's going on... until then, unfortunately, you're the one who has to have a healthy mindset for your kids.

It really is...and the crappy thing is....the in-laws are stuck in the middle.

I feel like my ex doesn't care that I have no where to stay over night with my kids. What am I supposed to do....sleep in a frickin' park??? I am SO MAD!!! emoticon

Wow, it sure sounds like you have a lot going on, and I wish you all the best. May I suggest two things that might help (based on my experiences):
    1. God can take it. You can be mad at Him. At least you're engaged and He LOVES that and you. Work through it.
    2. Be grateful for the difficult challenges you're facing. God know about them, knows how to solve them, and will see you through. I know it sounds weird, but if you're grateful for the "roadblocks", you'll find your attitude towards them changing.

Seriously, all the best to you. It sounds like this is a rough time for you.
