I brought a salad to work today and forgot salad dressing. I am not at the point where I can just eat plain lettuce. So I used hummus, it was storebought but it was better than nothing. It was surprising good and filling! I just took my lettuce leaves and dipped them in the hummus. I think in the future, I will do this again.

My husband said that everyone at his work is trying the Wheat Belly diet. I was curious and read about it. From what I can see you can still eat meat and fruit is limited. I think it makes more sense and is more healthy to have variety of fruits in one's diet. It is very interesting to see various's Doctor's take on nutrition. I will stick with ETL.

    I will have to try hummus. That is if I can find it anywhere. All we have for shopping around here is wal mart and sams clubs and bj's.

    Sounds yummy! Did you know that your body needs some (good) fat with the lettuce to absorb the nutrients more effectively? I had ham salad (turkey ham mixed with mayo) as my salad dressing today. ;)
