First week at Goal

Sunday, April 22, 2007

April 22,2007. It has been one week to the day since I reached my goal. I have been trying to eat more calories like they said to but I must be doing something wrong. I woke up this morning and had my weekly weigh in and got a surprise. I was up 3 pounds.I'm not going to get discouraged I'm going to fight back . I'm going to keep at my original calories and then maybe after another month I'll try to increase the calories again. That way after a month I will hopefully be down more and be able to play with the calories to see when I start gaining again and know when I have reached my maximum calories .
I'm still so thrilled to be at this new level and have so much energy to do more things.
Yesterday I put in 5 1/2 hours in my garden. I was amazed that I was able to do it all by myself. Usually my hubby does the roses for me ,but it was a challenge and after some scratches and picks I wa able to do it.
My neighbours after not seeing me for the winter were quite surprised to see me out there in the yard and couldn't get over the change in me.LOl That wa a nice feeling as well.
The weather was beautiful so I managed to walk 8.22 miles as well as have a nice conversation with my daughter as we were going around.
So today I will start again at 1200-1550 calories and stay with it for a month and then I'll see where to go from there.

Margaret, I am so very proud of you! Maintaining is the most difficult of the entire process. I know you will not give up until you have it mastered. Stay on top of it and you will figure it out. Know I'm thinking of you. I'll try to post more often, at least to my blog but of late I've had one struggle after another and am happy to just do as well as I am. Hugs, Karon
