I finally had a chance to watch a complete episode of The Biggest Loser on TV ~ Ed fell asleep early last night. And now I can see how people have been so devoted to this show. It makes a person really feel for the contestants, wanting to cheer them on, give them a smack if they slack off. And each person has a soft spot for one contestant or another.

But one thing that really hit me hard last night, brought tears to my eyes, is when Gina said that she sabotages herself because she doesn't feel she is worthy. I know exactly how she feels...

Becca - I agree, it is a good show - although I haven't watched it this season. Sometimes the trainers do get in their faces - but those people want to be there, so I guess they're willing to do what needs to be done. Personally, I couldn't do it -- the first time someone yelled at me - I'd be in tears!!! emoticon

I've watched from the beginning. Yes, the show has it's faults and downsides. But, I do draw inspiration from it. I particularly like the two most recent episodes' addressing the issues of why the people got into the destructive patterns. I have found those bits urging me to journal about my own issues - and about changing how I respond and/or act.

Best wishes on your journey, Becca!

I stopped watching when Jillian went off on that lady who quit. I lost interest.
