I Am Getting Real Now

Hi all,
Just got through watching THE BIGGEST LOSER, I am getting real now!!! I eat snacks or nibble on my food even when I know I am not hungry. I want to taste something in specific such as sweet or salty or just to feel better. This is not my best. I don't always put my best effort into my weight loss attempts. I can relate to Alex on the show tonight. I think I give up because I don't think my best is enough. Although this behavior really is not my best!!!! I need to go the distance and put out my best effort in my lifestyle. I need to push myself with the vision of the end. I can be a success and get to my 150 pound goal. I need to go through the pain and not eat if I am really not hungry. I am in great need to get real now.

    make your food choices at the grocery store... don't buy the stuff you know you don't want to eat...
    as an aid make yourself a small journal - record for a week, or even a day or two, when you eat, what you eat, what you were doing when you decided to eat, and how you were feeling (emotion) when you decided to eat... then see if there are common factors - feeling or place often is a trigger
    and most of all don't beat yourself up.. all you can do is the best you can do - not the best of all time.. we are human and fallible
    and that you recognize this is a big first step..

    It is hard but perhaps the answer is to save some fruit, or yoghurt or other healthy treat from your nutrition allowance for the day so you don't feel deprived and are staying on track. It isn't easy, but it doesn't have to be too painful.

    If you make healthy choices and keep moving you'll get to your goal. emoticon

    you need to find something else that you like very much not food related and do that when you feel bad. and slowly build a habit of it.at least this works for me. of course it happens sometimes to binge , but if it's once in a few weeks , it's ok
