When I checked on them to rotate the pan, I knew it was not going to work right. The cookie dough is supposed to sink into the cake batter but that didn't happen...it just sat right on top. I had forgotten just how dense that batter was.
They came out of the oven looking very much like they had gone in.
It was easily covered in icing but I was still disappointed.
After my cupcake baking disaster, my husband and I went out for a nice run 6.64 miles (6.1 running) and after a shower it was off to lunch with my brother and his girlfriend.
Happily the cupcakes tasted fabulous :-)
Great job with the run and kitchen experiment. I never thought of putting cookie dough in a cupcake. Awesome. I veganized a coconut macaroon recipe for the first time today and am in big trouble because they are super yummy. 1918 days ago
Well, you certainly figured out how to mask it (isn't frosting a wonderful thing?)! Glad they tasted great. I've always said I'm way more about flavor than I am about presentation. I'm going to have to file that recipe. Good run too! I'm so happy you are doing better. 1918 days ago
