I felt like writing a blog all about me today, which can't hurt for a Monday. (i just feel sorry for the poor sods reading it!) I am yet to hit the gym this week or last week and I even had a dream about running which was amazing. That's the feeling I want!!! That's why I want to go to the gym. i've been using the heat as an excuse. its been over 33 degrees C for two weeks now. i'm so tired. i don't want to do anything except eat ice cream and go to the beach (or sit in front of an air conditioner, but we don't have one).

There is a sneaking suspicion that my gym has poor air conditioning. Last time i went i saw lots of fans but only one air conditioner. hmmm... not good for a gym in australia!

I am feeling extremely ambivalent about exercise at the moment, but the flip side of that is that i am also extremely low on energy. I REALLY need to get moving or i'm going to turn into a petrified (as in petrified wood, not scared) person with mobility problems and muscle problems and back problems... We are heading to the beach with the puppy dog tonight, maybe i will try to squeeze in a swim? emoticon

The rest of the week will be in the high twenties with thunderstorms so i will endeavour to go to the gym tuesday night and at least one other night this week.

On a positive note i cooked fish for the first time yesterday!! emoticon We are going to a 10 week cooking class and yesterday we made teryaki salmon with a salad which i quite liked! i had some for dinner yesterday and i'll have some more when i get home tonight. the salad was very oniony, it only had spring onions, cucumber, coriander, chili and garlic in it (and lime juice as a dressing). So as a note overall I'd like to say that my eating is improving. There is a long way to go but i'm at least on the road to get there at the moment and not heading in the opposite direction.

Work has been very challenging recently too. A lot of deadlines and heavy demands as well as some personnel issues have been causing a bit of stress and lack of sleep (not helped by the hot nights) recently. i hope this week will be better!

Good to hear about you! I found your blog from the blogging page. If it is too hot to go out and exercise, can you pop a DVD in at home and do something? You know kind of an"I'm not going to the gym today-off day sort of thing?" I mean, if you have AC back where you live (I'm hoping)

The fish and salad sounds yummy.

I will hope the work stress lets up a bit, or at least that you adapt a little more and can sleep better. Lack of sleep can cause everything to unravel in a hurry, especially motivation to exercise... who wants to exercise when they haven't slept and feel like they're just dragging to everything
