12/30- The magic of hope

I've kept up a strong pace. Lost a couple of more pounds but this morning I really felt the effects of the pace. Needed a day off. Didn't exercise. I had breakfast and lunch out with friends.... but kept to diet. Watched a Saturday afternoon movie and nibbled on just a bit of cheat food. Helped a friend build her website afterwards. Home for a quiet night.
I'm journaling my days, because after having been sick and rudderless for so long, it just feels wonderful to have a direction. It feels grand to be out and meeting with friends. No drama, no hospitals, no Stalker, just life.
I think the diet and walking challenge are things that are providing some control in a life that has been spinning out of control. Sparkpeople, the Paleo challenge, and the walking challenge are providing a foundation of hope as I begin to fight my way back to health: emotional and physical.
