We Have Snow

Saturday, February 16, 2013

We had a Valentine party yesterday with our homeschool group and boy am I exhausted. Of course it doesn't help that I was in charge (with some help of course) of most of it and not feeling great either.

We had a huge turnout though and the kids were happy anyway, so that's all that matters.

We have some snow today and it's really coming down hard. It's the first snow we've had in a few years so it always causes excitement due to that.

I need to get groceries soon as we are out of a few things due to me being so busy with the homeschool group that I haven't had time to do so. I don't need to get them just because of the snow (to get milk and bread, LOL) but because we actually are out of milk. We had to resort to hiding the fact that we were using almond milk in the kid's smoothies today since if they knew it they probably wouldn't touch them, LOL.

Everybody came down with some type of illness in my family so I think I will just enjoy watching the snow fall, clean the house (much needed), get some coupons cut out, and wash the mountain of dirty clothes.

We saw a few flakes yesterday but nothing that stuck to the ground. It is so cold and windy today though and I will wear my warmest clothes to church today! emoticon

Too funny about the mud sledding. It's still snowing here which is shocking but unfortunately our snow doesn't last long in NC usually unless you're in the mountains.

They are saying that it will get below freezing tonight so there will probably be black ice on the roads in the morning.

I really like snow and it's been pretty snowless here in Chicagoland this year. My son is aching to sled, but there's nothing to sled on! Perhaps we should start mud sledding!

    Enjoy the day!
