Surviving After the Fast...

Saturday, February 16, 2013

My fruit fast was a complete success! More on that in the post to follow...but now its back to eating regularly.
Im not going to complain about the price of quality food, Im just going to accept the challenge! So without further ado....

---2lbs boneless chicken breast-$6.50
---corn flakes-$2.00, 1 cup needed
---honey mustard-$2.00, 2/3 cup needed
---dill-$1.00, 2 tsp needed
---salt/pepper to taste
....trim the chicken. combine honey mustard, dill and salt/pepper in a bowl and remove a small amount to use as a sauce later. crush the corn flakes. dip the chicken into the honey mustard and then into the corn flakes. place on a lightly greased baking sheet. bake 20-30 minutes on 350

---frozen mixed veg-$2.00
...i prefer the steamable frozen veg, i think it tastes better. just follow the directions on the bag. boil the spaghetti and then toss in light olive oil and minced garlic.

For just under $15.00 I fed my whole family a very tasty and health focused meal! I came in on point as far as my nutrition goals go, was full and didnt break the bank! Happy Eating friends.... emoticon
