5k and changing my goals.

Today I walked/jogged a 5k. I had the idea to do it before I got on the treadmill, but I told myself that I was just pushing for two miles today and that I'd be happy with that. It's been a long time since I did 5k and I was worried that I didn't have it in me yet to do another since I just got back to doing the treadmill a few weeks ago. But then I kept going after I hit my 2 mile goal. I was really feeling that last mile. My legs were rubbery and numb, my feet were on fire. lol. But I did it! A little over 3.1 miles. =) I really need to get new running shoes before I do it again though because I had to stop twice to fix my shoe and I also think I am gunna have a blister. Ugh! Just wish I had the money to go shopping for a really nice pair.
Anywaaaays, I reset my weight lost goals and am going for 6 pounds a month. It is soooo less stressful than going for the 10 pounds goal I had before. I would fall short and get discouraged. 6 pounds a month will keep me sane, especially since it feels like I lose a week each month because of my period. I've lost 8 pounds since New Years and it is my goal to lose 4 more by March 1st. If I reach my goals I will be under 200 by my birthday (first time in Onederland since childhood) and in the 170s by New Years. =)
