Did Some Real Walking

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

I had to return something at Bed Bath & Beyond which fortunately for me is right across the street. My plan was to return it then go across the street to the mall and walk around for 2 hours. I was going to kill some time before I had to head to my daughters school to get her report card.

So there I was at the mall walking and browsing and about to buy my daughter a pink shirt for Tag Day at school tomorrow when my cell phone started making a funny noise. I had a missed call and voicemail from an area code that made me so excited. I have been applying to jobs for a few hospitals in this area code for a year. I just knew it had to be one of them. I checked the message and sure enough it was for a job. I rushed to pay for the shirt and immediately called back.

I walked (while talking) very quickly to my daughters school to tell my fiancé the great news. He was going to be there to pick her up. I got an interview for next week. And no matter which way it goes I will be happy. It was really hurting me not to get called at all.

So I started off thinking I would walk in the mall for a few hours and what I got was mall walking plus walking outside in the fresh air. After all the walking it ended up being 3 miles. How cool is that? It didn't even feel like it.

After all that my highlight of the day was getting my daughters report card. She is in Kindergarten and got 6 A's and 2 B's. Last marking period she was on level and now she is at advanced level. So proud of my girl I just had to share.
