40 days of Lent

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

Today is Ash Wednesday for many Christians around the world. I tell myself this is a good time for me to reflect on my life and clear out my interior spirit so I can see wider horizons. Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving are meant to help me get in touch with the great mystery of God. What can I do to become a better person, eat moderately, exercise regularly and become healthier? I need to work on doing more in this area and be determined to make better choices. emoticon
Please share with me if you have any thought on this. God bless all of you. I love Spark and the motivation we get from each other. I hope to be thinner after these 40 days and focused more. If I follow my plan of prayer, and sacrifice and generous giving during lent, it will be a joyful season. Tracking all food choices will keep me in control and honest. Sounds like you have a good plan. Don't forget to ask God for His help to attain your goal of becoming a healthier person. I used to think it was kind of a petty thing to ask His help for, but I know I can't do it myself and since I have turned it over to Him I am doing so much better. God bless you!
