Getting too late?

Wednesday, February 13, 2013

It is now over a year I believe since my last entry. I am starting over. AGAIN. I feel vaguely more optimistic this time, as I have started using the treadmill with my youngest sons "coaching." I log my miles on a nearby calender and he, and the othe kids check my progress, usually giving me a high five or some other form or phrase. I do feel better, usually on the days I do walk. I try to do 6 miles a week. At least a 1.25 miles which is usually the 30 minute mark. I will try to always do the 30 minutes. After that, with pushing and resing, pushing and resting, I work on getting the mileage. So, 30 minutes and over a mile almost everyday is what hopefully will bring me at least some success this time around. Tirede of being tired. Tired of being the biggest one wherever we go. I get the sense from some people and was even told by one that "you'd be pretty if you lost weight." I sense that's true, but as 55 years old gets closer, I have to think that no matter what I do, I'm going to get old, be old, and it'll be too late. The time is NOW! Wish me luck!

Good luck to you. I too am starting over. It feels good to get back into the swing of things doesn't it? It sounds like you have good support too. Support really helps. Pshaw to the people who say you would be pretty if you'd lose weight. You're pretty NOW! Some people say hurtful things and are ugly on the inside you can always lose weight but their being ugly on the inside can't be fixed. :) Blessings and good luck to you! emoticon

Good for you for starting over. And, if 55 is too old, then tell Madonna to sit her butt back down! ;-p You can do this. Don't worry about how long it takes and don't beat yourself if you slip up. Celebrate the fact that you have picked yourself and dusted yourself off. Above all, enjoy the journey to good health. I wish you the best!
