The plan today is to go to the gym right after work. Yesterday, Lulu and I went for a run. It was a short one, but we still went. Just over a mile.

Today I want to start my strength training.

I only have 3 weeks from today until the trip to Las Vegas. I really want that jacket to fit me better. My chest is the LAST place I seem to loose the weight. Mind you, I've always been big there anyway, so maybe it seems like the last place I loose it.

When I really gave it all I had for two week straight, I started to see some great progress on the scale. I KNOW I can do this. Now I'm down to only 3 weeks left. There's no reason I can't work for loosing 6lbs in that time. No reason at all.

So that's my plan. I'm going to give it my all. I want to be ready to Rock Vegas in 3 weeks. I can even keep my fitness on track there - there's a weight room in the hotel, and I can go out with my running shoes any time I want.

So why do I still have such butterflies when it comes to going to the gym? I know I have issues there.

You need to do something every day that scares you. Takes you outside of your comfort zone. That's where you'll grow.

I guess that really applies here too doesn't it. Getting to the gym and becoming comfortable there again is taking me way outside my comfort zone right now. It'll lead to growth. I know it will. And a good fitness plan with both strenght training and cardio may carry me right through to my goal weight this time.

I forgot to lay out my gym clothes at home, but I won't let that stop me. Straight home. Upstairs to change. Then out the door to the gym. My workout is short and sweet. I also should do some dance practice. Guess I'll see how it goes while I'm there.

I KNOW I did a lot in taking a step towards reaching my goals yesterday. No, I didn't push myself as hard as I possibly could have, but that will come. For now, just getting back at it is a start. It feels so good knowing I'm finally doing something. Not sitting and waiting anymore.

    Just like you, I decided not to sit around a wait for a miracle to happen. So, I made big plans, and small daily plans to help me with those big ones. And I try to see them through day by day.
