Thought and Prayer for Tuesday, February 12, 2013

There are two types of plans: God’s plans and our plans. When we focus on doing what we want rather than what God wants, it is just wasted time. There are so many things God wants us to do in life that will help others and we need to stop spending time thinking only of ourselves. God put us here for a determined amount of time. He has given us opportunities to do things to serve others and we need to use those opportunities and be obedient to Him.

Psalm 33:11 “But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today to use our time wisely. Help us today to recognize opportunities to serve others and to use our time according to Your will and not our own. Thank You for the time You have given to us on in this life. We want to be obedient to You in all things and do what is pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What are your plans today? Are they the same as God’s plans for you?

When an opportunity comes up suddenly to help someone, it is all part of God’s plan.

When we go to God and ask Him what His plans are for us, He will show us the path to take.

Psalm 138:8 “The LORD will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.” (NLT)
