Non-scale Victories

So I've been 100% away from the scale -- since I'm living on the other side of the country from my scale and haven't been motivated or assertive enough to seriously hunt for one. I actually don't think it's a terrible thing (although I do get curious!)

Good things over the past month:

I went from 10 laps to 30 during morning swims with my classmate and have gone an average of 1.5 times a week -- not too shabby for 5:30am.

I'm pretty sure my clothes are fitting looser and I've got a bit less belly flab hanging out, especially on the sides at my waist band.

I started pretty much on a level for 20 minutes but can now walk on the treadmill at 10-12% grade for 35 minutes at 2.6 - 2.8 mph without my heartrate getting (much) above 160.

I've gone to the gym an average of 1.5 times a week -- pretty good considering that adds up to about 3 days of structured activity and I'm used to pretty much 0.

I've not had any fast food, and that's pretty huge for me.

My European roommate thinks I eat healthy foods.

I've on occasion gone to bed feeling a bit snacky and slept it off instead of having a high calorie pre-sleep meal.

I think I lose less hair in the shower these days. I have a ton of hair and usually shed worse than the dog ... but seems to be a bit healthier these days.

I hope all of these things add up to some lost pounds, but overall I've been having a fun and healthy(ish) time away from home and usual habits so I feel good about that.
