done and done

I had the last of my medical stuff on Friday. Another ERCP, this time to remove the stent in my bile duct, and at the same time they found a gallstone floating around in there, which was also removed.
It was quick and clean, but late afternoon, and the staff was in such a hurry to get rid of me, I didn't get anti-nausea meds because by the time I started feeling it come on, the IV had already been taken out. I'm still a little peeved about that, because they should have anticipated that I'd be sick as a dog within a couple of hours.
I was okay coming up the mountain, around those twists and turns, sipping water the whole way, but the walk to the house did me in but good. I couldn't get rid of my ride soon enough, although I'm thankful she was kind and considerate. It wasn't what I was needing that moment...
Otherwise, it was all good. I'm in no pain at all, and back to normal activities, and the nausea is still with me but I suspect it's more to do with sinusitis than anything else.
It's all done now. I've made permanent changes to my diet, gotten healthier, lost weight, will continue to lose weight, and when the weather gets a bit warmer and mornings lighten a little earlier I'll get back to a jogging routine.
I wear a size smaller in underwear, which mightn't be such a great thing but means a lot to me.
I bought a new washing machine which will be delivered on Thursday, and I have to admit I'm awfully excited about that. It was a huge dent in my rather meager budget but a necessary expense and I will survive being broke for a while. It has all the functions I require, which were but two, and is a HE to boot, but a top loader.
Life is GOOD. I am blessed in so many ways, and even the bad bits were necessary in order for me to discover the good bits. I continue in my quest for optimal health, and with that comes the desire to always seek the best parts of me and let those best parts shine on through forever.
