Small Changes Over Time

Since reading Joel Furhman's Eat to Live, I have been trying to incorporate his nutritarian eating plan into my diet. I eat fruit now for breakfast everyday. When I am going to work, it is a strawberry smoothie with unsweetened almond milk. On weekends, I like to have grapefruit and eggs. Lunch is usually a bean soup that I make on the weekend, salad and fruit. Snacks are string cheese and almonds. Dinner with my husband is usually fish or chicken and veggies. While I can't give up cheese or meat, I have greatly reduced the portions I eat of these foods. I am trying to cut down on processed foods, but still enjoy crackers. Overall, I feel I am in better health by making these changes and have lost 8 pounds in 8 months. While it is slow progress, it is progress.
