Sunday Dinner: UK style!

So today I had the distinct pleasure of enjoying a British Sunday dinner. You see, I'm VERY lucky that I have a proper British tea room where I regularly go for afternoon tea. The food is great, the service is wonderful, and I can get traditional British treats there.

Well, every so often, they run a special Sunday dinner, with a three course meal and naturally, lots of tea!

My mother surprised us by buying it for us this time. I took pictures to share with her, so I figured I'd share with you, too!

Here's the menu:

Starters:- Haricot Soup with saute Prawns or Artichoke, Asparagus, Tomato, Onion tart.
Entree:- Pork Loin Roast, with Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, Braised Kale with Pancetta, Buttered Carrots, Gravy and Applesauce.
Dessert:- Coffee and Chocolate Mousse, or Steamed Lemon Pudding with Rosehip syrup.

I neglected to take a picture of the soup, because it was SO AMAZING I couldn't stop eating it. I also helped my husband finish his tart (also unphotographed.)

After the soup, we had our entree. The pork loin was so savory, the gravy was to die for, and the kale? Indescribably good.

It also came with homemade apple sauce.

Dessert for me was the coffee and imported European chocolate mousse.

Everything was SO good!

Now I just have to figure out how to track it all!
