Bargain Shopping With a Friend

Sunday, February 10, 2013

I went with a friend shopping yesterday. We hit several thrift stores but I had zero luck finding anything for me, which in a way is good since it means more money in the bank and less clutter, LOL. She, however, found a lot.

We packed our lunches so we didn't spend money on that, but I did find a few things at IKEA (limited time there since she had to get back home afterwards) including a nice thermos that I have been needing forever. I like to drink decaf. coffee during the day and have been wanting to get something like this to take with me, but they are always super expensive. This one was the perfect size and only $7 and made out of stainless steel.
talog/products/50208026/ It comes in 3 colors and I got the aqua blue one.

I love IKEA so much but hardly ever get there because it is 45 minutes or so away from me. I guess that's a good thing too because I can spend some serious money there and did last year when I was organizing the house and redoing the kids desks in their bedrooms.

We also went to Dollar Tree to pick up some cheap supplies for our homeschool Valentine party activities and I even found some Crystal Lite packages for $1 there so grabbed one of those.

Friday I hit the jackpot at Mighty Dollar and spent almost $40 there! Everything is $1 so you can imagine that I got a lot for that amount and I'm thrilled with what they had this time.

Today I will be cutting out and organizing coupons, which while not my favorite thing to do it does save me lots of money.
