My week

Saturday, February 09, 2013

I was going to put together a "My Week" post to everyone I know.

Still got a hacking cough. Still taking breathing treatments 4 times a day. Which makes me cough deeper. I can't breath deep because of the MS lung damage.

Thursday was supposed to be my re-certification meeting with the manager but at my meeting time, the office had a sign on the door & it was locked. Apparently the day & time was changed but no one told me. It is now on the 12th. More time to get all the receipts to come in. Which is different this year. We have to bring everything in to them. Before we could bring it in but they would have to have it on their piece of paper.

Then comes Friday's PCP yearly doc appt. An hour well spent with not a lot changed except to continue the Zanaflex on a consistent basis & breathing treatments until further notice. Took blood for usual test - cholesterol, thyroid, vitamin D levels, etc. Doc was impressed with my weight loss. 13.5 lb since Thanksgiving. Some days I think it is great. Most days, it is horribly slow & I will be a fat old corpse.

Next we hurry home to have the nurse come change my catheter & re-certify me to continue nursing services. Got to meet the CNA who is starting nursing school & show him how the change is done.

Now to today. Tracy hasn't gotten here yet. I've called her twice. Nothing! Oh well, I can survive. Made coffee, made cereal & peanut butter. Then decided since Tracy wasn't here I was going to take apart my DynaVox stand. It is too big for my bedroom. Really it is too big for any place in my house. Play the video below & you will see how big it is. Well you know I have use of only one arm. But I took it apart. Only problem, one of the legs dropped about 4 feet to land on my foot. Which is now colorful, swollen & not moving. I don't think I ever broke that part of my foot.

So that has been my week.

PS: (The Wicker Man - Horror/Musical - all together a BAD, REALLY BAD movie!)
