Today I met my first weight loss goal and even exceeded it by a pound!! As I weighed in this morning, my scale finally revealed a number that I haven't seen in at least two years! I was finally less than 200 pounds! emoticon In five weeks I have taken off 11 pounds and regained my self-confidence. As I continue my weight loss, I am discovering that it is not the impossible mission that I once thought, but it is a conscious decision that I must keep making daily to eat the right amount of calories and eat only healthy foods. Reflecting back on my diet in the past year, I cannot believe how much I was over eating, and how bad those foods were. A fast paced life led me to eat mostly food that could be microwaved or have take-out, but that was definitely a mistake! High sodium contents in microwavable foods have steered me away from them now and I do my best to try to prepare healthier meals for my husband and myself daily now. Seeing the impact that sodium has had on my family just keeps me more aware of the dangers of it, so to help fight high blood pressure, I have been keeping a much closer eye on how much of it that I consume. Well, I must get going as I am going to go enjoy my spa day after meeting that first 10 pound weight loss goal! Good luck to everyone and have a blessed day! emoticon
