Week Four

The week is not over yet but I feel like I am well on my way to reaching my goals for February. It is becoming second nature to head to the gym after class. I am able to complete harder programs on the elliptical without my heart racing or being short of breath. I have been using the hill climbing program and can really feel it in my legs the next day.

Tuesday I skipped the gym and used the Kinect for a kickboxing/bootcamp workout followed by some strength training. I am still getting used to doing strength training at home. I haven't been waking up early enough to do it before class and if I don't do it right when I get home I tend to skip it. I did get in two days this week (arms and core) so I need to work my lower body today.

Today's plan is to go for a hike. It is gorgeous outside and the trails are a little muddy but for the most part the snow has melted. I hope it continues to stay nice but I am sure we will get hit with more snow and cold soon. It is only February after all.

I took my measurements at the beginning of the month and I am excited to see where I will be by the end. I am really bad about obsessing over the numbers so I am going to try measuring only once a month and weighing in once a week. I did drop a pound this week and it's nice that I am starting to see results. As long as I keep moving in the right direction, I will be satisfied.
