It's been awhile SP!

Saturday, February 09, 2013

Okay, these past 6-8 months have not been good for me.

However, I'm still here, I'm still breathing and I still want better for me.

Since tearing my PCL, I've gained some weight back. I don't know how much yet. I need to weigh myself tomorrow morning at my regular time.

I'm cleared for walking again (without the knee brace) and the orthopedic doc is optimistic that I can start running again in May. We're busy busy busy with the coming arrival of our son's service dog! She's a 2 year old golden retriever and we are so excited for her to finish training and join our family!

Right now, I'm trying to get back into the swing of tracking food, and resurrect the dedication to making sure that SP gets checked every day. I'll change goals and such around tomorrow when I get my new weight check done.

Just wanted to do a quick update and I'm glad to be back :)

Hey! Welcome back!! I've missed you and wondered how you and your family were doing. How exciting to be getting your sons service dog! You'll have to post a pic when he arrives. They are great dogs for sure!

Hope you get to stay put at Carson! Good to see you back on SP!!

Thanks All!!! Susie, we are hoping to stay here at Carson, but God and the Army are in control of that haha! That is definitely our prayer though. The boys are just doing so great here and with the service dog coming, I don't want to do anymore disruptions. Josh is home from school and is finishing up his second phase of training here at Carson :)

Ginny, I'm so excited to be getting a golden. I get to spend a week in Oregon training with her right at the beginning of March! Looking forward to some time away and time with her too!! :)

Welcome back - glad you are on the mend. And you will LOVE your new golden - we have a 5 month old puppy who is still doing the chewing/digging/jumping up puppy stuff - but we adore him - goldens have big hearts and such sweet souls. He seems to adjust his behavior for each of our kids - bet your new addition will be a blessing to your son AND to you too.
