A Bad Couple of Weeks

Friday, February 08, 2013

I was so frustrated. My weight was going up and down about 6 lbs. I was still doing all the right things, eating right and exercising. So then I just got so frustrated like it just didn't matter and begain eating whatever and not really exercising. I felt horrible. My body was blah, I was bloatted and just plain felt crappy. And that was just after 4 days. I realized that even if I am not losing weight I need to eat well so that I could feel better and live a longer life. So I went back on my mission to eat better and exercise. However, still not losing weight. But I will keep trying. I went to see a doctor for assistance. She told me it is my age, and that my metabolism is not the same anymore. She said I need to change what I am eating to lose weight. She gave me some articles on the benefits of protein and weight loss. So needless to say, I am going to try and do this her way and see what happens. Wish me luck!! emoticon

Good Luck. I have been frustrated this year as well because I am exercising like a crazy person and so far this year have only lost 2.5 pounds in 5 weeks. I work out like crazy but no big loss. So I had decided to change it up. I am going to eat on the mid to higher end of my calorie range because of working out so much and I am going to cut out some of my carbs and add in more protein. I think 40 completely stopped my metabolism. ha ha

You can do it! The worst thing you can do by getting frustrated is give up, dont give up make small changes at first by eating well, incorporate excercise and the small things will become routine, believe me Ive understand and have been there. emoticon
