Not the best news...

Thursday, February 07, 2013

So I'll start with good news, I went to the gym yesterday just on a whim for the first time in about a week or so and loved every minute of it. it was GREAT!

Now the not so good news...As I've mentioned one of my best friends is getting married in May and I'm in the wedding. We were fitted for our bridesmaid dresses back in October. I was so excited because I was measured smaller than anticipated. My friend called me last week to let me know the dresses were in and needed to get picked up. Went to get my dress today after work...IT WAS TOO SMALL. emoticon I kept my fingers crossed that it was the shops fault but they remeasured me and it was more than what they measured at the first fitting.

Thankfully, I held it together before we left the shop but I definitely shed a few tears on the drive home. I felt embarrassed, disappointed, and heartbroken that everything I've done for the past month has got me no where... Good thing the wedding isn't until May. I have a good month or two to trim down, even if it's just a little bit, to not have to worry about paying for alterations. So I'm taking the negative and turning it into a positive. More motivation than ever to get serious. Not gonna let it get me down!

Thank you for your encouraging words. :) I'm doing everything I can to stop thinking about it. The dress is still hanging in plain sight though so I can really stay focused on making sure I fit into it.

I would not stress over it too much. Everyones weight fluctuates a little and you have plenty of time til May. You will be fitting in that dress before you know it.
