Don't give up!

It is so easy to give up and give in when you seem to be making very slow progress. You have to look for every tiny change and acknowledge it. The very fact that I am so determined to crack this now is a huge acheivement for me. The fact that I have been eating better and exercising more is a huge leap in the right direction for me.

I keep comparing my progress to previous times I have lost weight - "normally the first half a stone comes off just like that" "I have been running this time and it still isn't budging..." But the fact is I have never lost weight and kept it off in a healthy and maintainable way ever before! So I should be celebrating the fact that this time will be different.

I just stumbled across quite a challenging fat-blasting cardio video which I really enjoyed too, I could really feel it in my thighs. My measurements have not been changing as dramatically as I would like but there are definite positive changes there. My skirt felt ever so slightly looser today. I will do my weekly weigh on Saturday so I think tomorrow I may have an all fruit and veg day with maybe some salmon for dinner!! Have a lovely weekend All. emoticon

    Realizing that losing the weight is just one step, and then keeping it off is a long term process (as in, the rest of your life), that's been helping me stay tracked so far. Granted, so far is just 16-17 months, but I've had a couple of upward surges in there, which might have derailed previous attempts.
