Unmotivated this week

Thursday, February 07, 2013

I don't know what's up with me this week but I feel like a slug. I have not exercised one day this week and I know I should have but I just can't find the motivation. I am not giving up though and will push through this lazy week.

I was really aggravated this week at my daughters high school. She has some mild learning disabilities and had been in classes through middle school with other kids that have issues too. the problem is that some of these kids have major behavioral problems and they were bullying my daughter. In middle school I had her pulled out of the classes with these kids and put in regular classes and she did wonderful. She was able to maintain her grades and her attitude was great. Lately she has been having some problems with depression and long story short, I find out that the idiots at the high school put her back in the classes with these kids that were causing her problems in middle school! No wonder she was depressed. I had them pull her out of those classes again and she is now back to her same old self.

I attend planning sessions yearly with her teachers and guidance counselors to determine her schedule and learning needs/goals. Why was I never informed that she was back in these classes? That's what makes me angry. It's not like I've been some absentee parent! Apparently information did not get relayed when she moved from middle school to high school. My poor baby has been dealing with these kids bullying her for 2 years now!

Okay enough venting. Thanks for listening. MB
