Friends at the gym.

Thursday, February 07, 2013

I went to the gym last night and realized that I am seeing the same people there over and over. I usually don't talk much to anyone. I just go, workout, and leave.

On Wednesday I like the fitness class. It is a great strength workout using different equipment each month. Last month we used the BOSU. This month we started with the big balls that you sit on. There are only so many balls. Lots of balls, except this is February and people are starting to think about the summer and getting back in shape after the holidays. So there will not be enough for everyone.

Wednesday, is the day that my grand daughter takes swim class at the gym. I worked it out with her mom, my daughter, that I would take Penny to class while mom worked out. Then mom would take the kids home and I would work out.

This gets me to my fitness class early. Good thing, because there is a line waiting to get in to get the best equipment.

Yesterday, as I was waiting in line, I noticed a bunch of people standing by the side. And you guessed it, when the doors opened all those people standing at the side, not in line, rushed through the doors and grabbed the good equipment.

Now the line was pushing and shoving to get into the doors before those people who didn't wait in line.

I was the second person there and no balls were left when I got through the door. A nice woman tapped me on the shoulder and gave me a ball. She said she saw me in the line and grabbed one for me.

I don't even know her name, but I have a friend at the gym.
