Unpacking, Losing and a New Beginning

Thursday, February 07, 2013

I have been so busy the last month that I haven't had much time to devote to Spark or to regular workout sessions, but I have been getting a lot of activity!

I got the keys to my apartment about a week and a half ago, but didn't actually move in until this past Friday. I have been going pretty hard over the last couple of weeks and haven't really taken any rest time between finishing packing everything, cleaning my room at the house, the actual move itself, and now unpacking. All without taking any extra time off work! So by yesterday I was completely exhausted I could barely function. I went to bed early and slept in a little this morning, plus took a nap this afternoon to recover.

But the apartment isn't going to unpack itself and Disney isn't really all that helpful emoticon . The only downfall to living alone again is going back to doing everything on my own! I have the kitchen all unpacked now and just need to finish washing the dishes to have that room up and running. I still need to pick up a few things for in there, but will be getting some tomorrow and the rest over the next week or so... aside from a can opener, there isn't anything that can't wait. The bathroom is also completely unpacked, so I have two rooms that are just about done. The rest of the apartment is another story! I am still surrounded by boxes, though the piles are starting to get smaller. I know it will probably be another week or so before I am fully unpacked.

The good news though, is that even through all of this I am losing again! I had been stuck for about 3 months due to the stress and everything that was happening. Since I made the decision to move, I lost the 7 pounds I had regained, plus a couple more! I am at the lowest weight I can remember as an adult, and I'm ready to recommit to my fitness goals!

I am looking at this move as a new beginning. While I still feel like I'm in limbo at the moment, I am making small changes in my daily routine and establishing new habits that will push me forward and take my workouts and my life to the next level. There are a lot of exciting things coming in my life over the next several weeks! Its going to be fun!
