Light bulb moment!

A co-worker of mine was waiting while I dug around in my purse for a couple quarters, she notices that I keep apparently weird things in my purse like honey sticks and I kid you not a packet of tuna… or a baggie of cracker-chips and sometimes an apple lol I had to explain that I often forget to eat then I am out away from my desk or home where I have plenty of healthy choices and the alternative to these weirdo purse items would be stopping at fast food. Since I get irrationally hungry I’m likely to throw my morals out the window and get something I will regret later so keep snacks in my purse makes it easier to control myself.

Today something totally awesome happened! Last month I lost 13lbs and I honestly couldn’t really tell by looking at myself, I notice my clothes were fitting slightly better but it wasn’t anything shocking. Well I have kept my lifestyle sorta on the down low with the exception of my best friend/co-worker/weight loss buddy, the warehouse manager who comes in and out of our office on a daily basis and is known to rarely say anything nice to anyone came up to my desk and asked me if I was losing weight because he could definitely tell. I was elated to hear that!! It was such a huge encouragement as he had no reason to say anything but to hear that someone can see the change was such a boost to me especially since I was feeling so sluggish last week and this week. It is amazing how one little comment can completely make your day and encourage you to keep going.

I have determined that I need to start back up with my Zumba for cardio, I have been riding my bike and it was working for the first two weeks but seriously I am starting to dislike it and I think I just need some cardio that is fun so I want to do it. I guess I always had it in my head that if you like it is clearly isn’t working out it’s like someone had programed me to think exercise is not to be fun if it is you clearly are not doing it right lol but I have come to learn where some workouts aren’t fun but necessary daily workouts should be fun and you should enjoy them especially if you plan to do them in your lifestyle change for the rest of your life. Here I am almost 28 years old and this just now occurred to me… Light bulb!

    That was the best part when I first started my journey!!! You DESERVE it and don't let anyone tell you different! Way to go for keeping healthy snacks on hand!!!! I know if I go a long period without eating I don't make the best choices...

    You deserve the compliment for all your hard work!!! also doing something you enjoy to workout is awesome!!!! that is THE BEST WORKOUT!!! Because you are likely to do it longer and keep it up instead of forcing yourself to do something you don't like!
