1) (calorie counting) Started the day with a surprise, my normal protein shake is 442 cal. With that and my lunch salad at around 500 my daily intake was already 1000 calories.

Ok that's fine when I get home I will have earned my one beer.

2) (Mantra) Yesterday I was reading on someone's blog the importance of having a mantra. The woman's was "Size 6 not 16". So I decided that mine would be a quote from BSG "soft body, soft mind". MInd and body reflect and balance each other. My hope with regaining a healthier body is that I will learn better discipline thus have a clearer mind. Also I would like to be able to outrun everyone else during the zombie apocalypse.

3) (ugh exercise) Nothing like light exercise to take it out of you. I grabbed an i pod hoping to take my mind off the giant mountain before me. After the second song I thought Omygosh it's only been two songs, how many more songs till I"m to the top. Then, my back began to cramp. How is that even possible that my back was cramping from essentially walking up a hill? I felt ashamed after my brief 20 min of exercise as I walked back down the hill. My mantra which played over and over in my mind all morning as I counted calories and put on my tennis shoes disappeared from my brain the moment I ran out of breath.

Now I see why the fitness tracker starts you off with so few calories to burn. Well it looks like a small number but I see I have my work cut out for me.
