So yeah. I've actually been using SparkPeople for a while now but haven't created a sparkpage yet. I've been thinking about it for a while now so then I just decided to go for it - what do I have to lose?

Anyway today is the mid-point of week 5 for me, and so far I've lost 6 pounds. Still 12 more to go before I reach my goal.

Last week was rough. I went clubbing with a friend on Friday and we ended up going to McDonald's at around 3am and bought a ton of food. And as if that wasn't bad enough on Saturday we ordered kebabs and I baked a brownie. We were so hungover it was ridiculous. So on Sunday I practically ran to the gym and pushed myself to work out harder than ever.

This week so far has been super busy, several new classes started up at uni meaning that I've been pulling long days there. That means that aside from Sunday, I haven't been able to get to the gym this week. The plan is to go today though, since I should be out of uni by 2pm.

On a happier note, I get to meet my flies (oh yeah I'm a biologist and doing my dissertation on Hawaiian fruit flies) today for the first time! So that will be exciting! Also, this week I decided I would challenge myself by drinking 2L of water every day. Well yesterday I failed and only got 1,5 down, but I have a feeling today will be better.
